Refund policy

SHOE RETURNS

CHANGE OF MIND:

We offer a period of 100 days from the date of purchase for returns and exchanges for change of mind/incorrect fit. 

We advise that when you try on your new shoes for the first time you wear clean socks and test them out on the carpet, just in case!  Pretend you are in the shoe store.

To be eligible for a refund or exchange, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it, the product must also be in the original packaging.  Fit for resale. Do not affix shipping label to product box or tape box shut.

Please note we are unable to accept shoes that show clear signs of being worn/used.  For example: odour/fragrance, dirty insole and/or soles.  They must also be in their original box.

 

We reserve the right to refuse a refund/exchange if the product does not comply with the above conditions.

We may also charge a cleaning fee (deducted before a refund is issued) if the shoes are lightly soiled but can be cleaned.

WARRANTY:

Warranties are in place to cover you in the event that the product you purchased isn't fit for purpose or does not perform as advertised.  Photographic proof of the fault is required, please email us to organise a returns label for your purchase,  - hello@thefunctionaljoint.com.au. Please allow 2 business days for a reply.

VIVOBAREFOOT shoes come with a 6 month manufacturer's warranty from the date of  purchase, covering them from any manufacturing defects or anything that wouldn’t be considered usual wear and tear. As a B corp VIVOBAREFOOT will repair where possible before opting to replace your shoes to try and keep them out of landfill. 

BE LENKA / BAREBARICS shoes come with a 12 month manufacturer's warranty from the date of  purchase, covering them from any manufacturing defects or anything that wouldn’t be considered usual wear and tear. 

 

RETURNS - other goods 

Socks and heat bags need to be unopened in their packaging.

We are also unable to accept any items for return unless they are in their original bag or box.  Please do not stick anything to the box.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, such as toothbrushes & deodorant , hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases. 

Additional non-returnable items:
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software products
- Some health and personal care items (such as toothbrushes).

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase (order number). 
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.



REFUNDS (if applicable)
Once your return is received, inspected and approved, we will process your refund or exchange.  If there are any issues we will contact you via email.
Refunds will be processed in the same manner for which you paid for the item and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, generally showing in your account within 72hrs.

Shipping costs are non-refundable.


Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received your refund yet, first check your bank account again. We reverse the sale through our point of sale software, so the funds will be returned to the account that you used to pay for the order. We would suggest allowing 3 days for funds to clear.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Faulty goods returns - Email us, we will provide a return shipping label.

Change of mind, Refund or Exchange - You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs. 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. 

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
